First issue of the SHARE Integration Magazine available to download now!

ICMC Europe is delighted to announce the publication of a new edition of the SHARE Magazine, and a renewed programme of SHARE Network activities for 2018-19! During the coming two years, SHARE Integration will engage with a wide variety of actors at European, national and local level, continuing our work in building partnerships for refugee inclusion in local communities across Europe.

SHARE Seminar on Pre-departure Processing and Cultural Orientation: Preparing for the integration of resettled refugees in Europe

Istanbul 3-4 May 2018, ICMC held, in partnership with the Centralised Agency for Reception (COA) in The Netherlands, an on-site visit and seminar on Pre-Departure processing and Cultural Orientation (CO). The seminar, held at the ICMC’s Resettlement Support Center (RSC) in Istanbul, Turkey, was organized within the frame of the SHARE Integration project; building a network of (small-size) cities, towns and local actors committed to offering protection and welcome for resettled refugees in Europe.

ERN+ partners Present Innovative European Models for the Protection of Refugees at ERN+ Conference

On Thursday 12 April 2018, IOM - the UN Migration Agency, UNHCR – the UN Refugee Agency, and the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) presented the outcomes of a project that developed innovative models to provide more opportunities for protection of refugees in the European Union (EU). 

 

ERN+ PUBLICATIONS

Recognising the need for new approaches to address global displacement and the few opportunities available for refugee resettlement, the European Resettlement Network has broadened its scope of activities to include research on complementary pathways of admission for refugees to Europe.

ERN+ Scoping Paper on student scholarships for refugees

The ERN+ Scoping Paper on Student Scholarships for refugees explores the existing higher education opportunities for refugees to arrive safely in the EU from first countries of asylum in the framework of a study programme and how these represent one way to complement the efforts made by States to welcome refugees through resettlement and other complementary pathways of admission.

ERN + Church Conference

October 1st, 2017

On September 18th and 19th 2017, within the framework of the European Resettlement Network (ERN+), ICMC Europe welcomed around 80 representatives from faith-based organisations, churches, international organisations, the European Commission and civil society networks for a 1.5 days conference in Brussels on “The Role of Churches and Christian Organisations in Community-based Sponsorship Programmes of Refugees in Europe: challenges, opportunities and next steps”.
